I want to thank you for two exceptional days digging trees for one of my Canadian Earth Day Tree projects. Over the past 25 years, our Family Foundation has dug and in some cases planted over 25,000 trees free of charge in five Canadian provinces.

The quality of the dig is essential for success, as the first step largely determines the trees future. You not only did an amazingly good job, but you averaged 15 trees per hour; I had anticipated three days digging and you did it in two.

Quality of work, efficiency and attention to tree care and detail on your behalf went a long way towards making this one of the best digs I have done in 25 years.

Note from Classic Style Landscape: This was in a production nursery setting, 15 trees per hour never occurs in a landscape planting setting.

We took the opportunity to employ Ed Vos, Classic Style Landscape, to re-organize, re-design , and relocate our plant beds on the front of our property. Ed provided a detailed, concise estimate containing all work we agreed had to be carried out. All work done on the front of the property had to be completed by hand because we could not allow heavy equipment near our septic bed/tank.

There were a number of large, old, and unsightly yew trees which had to be removed. These were deep rooted trees, and all of the root system was removed. In addition, Ed created a new bed; and relocated four bushes and miniature trees. All of the beds received new soil, and mulch to finish the project.

Ed was on location to do the job when he said he would be there. When I arrived home at the end of the day, I did not have to pick up any debris (all small twigs/branches were removed); there was no dirt tracked around; and the grass was not damaged in any way. Our home now looks much bigger with more spacious gardens, and clean well laid out beds. If you are looking to boost your property value, and have superlative “curb appeal”, we highly recommend Ed to do the work.

Ed Vos recently leveled, applied a heavy layer of topsoil and put down sod on our front yard. Watching him work we were very impressed with his attention to detail, respect for property and professional attributes. He completed the job in the timeframe requested and managed our expectations by keeping us informed as to delivery times and working times while co-ordinating his work with that of the people putting in a sprinkler system. The lawn looks great Ed! You definitely have our endorsement.
